Redmond & Bellevue attract so many high tech workers and there are so many people that are not tech savvy; I would like to see a user fair, where new or odd uses of devices are shared, people's problems are addressed, sources of training are aired. I'm thinking of apps for handicapped, software for artists, robots for health, & games for education.
People like to move freely about their neighborhood, meeting friends, visiting neighbors, & stores. Hedges & fences often prevent this. I don't want to get into a car just to go 1000 feet. We should walk more! There should be gates in long fences & cooperation between large complexes. I feel pedestrian access reduces crime not increase it.
There are many trails in Bellevue neighborhoods. Please publicize & distribute pedestrian trail & bike maps more widely by partnering with local businesses.
Downtown is a thriving area with lots of people moving about. To reduce car usage, re-parking, pedestrian-car accidents, & to increase business access, user experience,& community life; I suggest sky bridges be encouraged by code, insurance,& tax changes. Ped.bridges between tall buildings would make Bellevue a 3D model city & reduce exposure to harsh weather conditions for shoppers & workers.
